	Located in the picturesque Hampshire Downs near Andover Thruxton has a reputation as one of the country’s fastest, longest and entertaining circuits in the country. Famous for its super long high speed corners. Home to the BARC (British Automobile Racing Club) its also a real favorite for all drivers and with a full track resurface the track times and lap records are falling all the time. Thruxton only has around 12 race events each year due to planning laws but they are always entertaining and deliver excellent races, Thruxton now offer the countries best selection of cars for your driving experience check out there website for full details.

Thruxton was built in 1941 as an airbase for the RAF and USAF. It was used during World War II for gliders and played a large part in carrying troops for the D-Day landings. The airforce left Thruxton in 1946 and for a couple of years it sat doing nothing until 1950 when the circuit was born and motorsport came to Thruxton in the form of motorbikes and then in 1952 motor racing started on the old airfield. In 1968 Thruxton became the track we know today and followed the lines of the perimeter road. With the addition of a chicane and three other corners we see the birth of one of Englands fastest racing circuits.
