Doune Hillclimb is located in East Lothian and is the only course in Scotland to feature in the British Hillclimb Championship and is part of the Scottish Hillclimb Championship annually. The speed hillclimb is run by the Lothian Car Club which first started promoting the event in 1968. The hill was resurfaced in 1992 and a new paddock was built in 2000. The course was designed by Ray Fielding in 1968 and altered twice since then but is only 30 meters shorter than the original course.
